Video: Cultivate Gratitude — Find a Way!

2010 Happiness Challenge: For those of you following the 2010 Happiness Project Challenge, to make 2010 a happier year – and even if you haven’t officially signed up for the challenge — this month’s theme is Eternity. Last week’s resolution was to Imitate a spiritual master. Did you try to follow that resolution? Did it help to boost your happiness?

This week’s resolution is Cultivate gratitude. A grateful spirit is very important to a happy life, and in fact, the more I think about happiness, the more importance I attribute to gratitude.

How do you cultivate a grateful spirit in your everyday life? Post a reply here, or post a video on YouTube. I’d be fascinated to hear other people’s ideas. I could use them!

Gratitude journals, and the happiness of not having cancer.
Can you curse during a gratitude meditation?
Have you ever been upset by a well-intentioned gift? Acted ungratefully?

If you’re new, here’s information on the 2010 Happiness Challenge (or watch the intro video). It’s never too late to start! You’re not behind, jump in right now, sign up here. For more ideas, check out the Happiness Project site on Woman’s Day.

* Warning — flagrant self-promotion: If you’re inclined to buy The Happiness Project — for yourself or as a gift — it would really help me if you bought it this week (for reasons to do with the publishing cycle). I’d be enormously GRATEFUL (see above).
Buy now, don’t delay! Recommend it to your friends! If you think that reading the book will be just like reading this blog, it really isn’t the same; here, I explain why. And I can’t resist adding that The Happiness Project has been a New York Times bestseller for months, including at the #1 spot.
I really appreciate your consideration.
