    I often find saying yes was a good idea at the time and then when the commitment comes closer I wonder how I ever ended up agreeing to do whatever it was. Saying yes for me is not closing down opportunities, saying no is about protecting my time. Often the hardest person to say no to is ourselves, like everyone I always seem to think tasks will be quicker than they turn out to be so expect to do more than I sometimes do. Or is that some work ethic whispering in my ear that I need to quieten down?

      I know what you mean. I have such a hard time saying ‘no”. I’m not sure why because so often when I say “yes” I’m instantly reminded how little time I have to do the things I want to do. I think maybe I feel guilty or obligated to those who seem to need me. Any way, I’ve known this about myself for quite some time and still haven’t changed the behavior. Maybe someday I will.

    a bit of irony…i’m reading and up pops a screen that already has all four boxes checked “yes” to subscribing to four different things.you say yes. i have to say no.
