Phew! Hack Attack Is Over. Back to Normal.

Thanks to everyone who wrote to tell me that this site had been hacked. Everything’s back to normal–I hope! I really appreciate your thoughtfulness in taking the time to let me know.

      I re-directed the http://www.gretchenrubin.com site to this blog, so I transferred some material from there to this blog.

      This is a satirical (sort of) law-review piece I wrote with my roommate back in law school. It’s meant to be funny – though probably only for lawyers. You have to be familiar with the “Restatement” form to understand what we’re doing.

      It’s hard to access the piece, unless you have easy access to back issues of the Yale Law Journal, so I figured I’d put it up here.

      It’s interesting, though…when we wrote “The Restatement of Love,” I had no conscious intention of being a writer for a living, but already my preoccupations are showing through: tackling big subjects, playing with structure, identifying rules and patterns in behavior. And I love to collaborate! So much fun to do this with my law school roommate (now an editor at the Wall Street Journal, by the way). If you read “Happier at Home,” you know that I recently collaborated with my sister.
